Zürich main station

Zürich main station is the most important railway station in Switzerland. Every day hundrets of thousands enter or leave their trains. It's a very agitated place. This picture doesn't show that. But it symbolizes the accuracy of the timetable of the Swiss Nationals Railway company (SBB). It's hard to believe that they can handle that many people and trains with no problems at all.

Shades of grey

Hard shadows falling through the spaces of a gallery at the CS towers in Zürich Oerlikon, noon time. It being in the proximity of my office chances are that I'll try to take images around these skyscrapers more often in the near future.

Golden Hour

The CS towers in Zürich Oerlikon are asking for architectural photography. This picture looks as if it were taken during the golden hour. But it really was taken during my lunch break. Nonetheless the colors resemble the ones of the golden hour.

Fragile Art

The very first time I passed this building I noticed the broken window glass, but I didn't realize what was there to see, because the whole building was uninhabited and in need of repair. Only a few days later did the sun light shine on the window pane in such a way that the cracks glowed and the true "face" appeared.

Money or Love

Sometimes you discover small works of art when you walk through cities with your eyes open.

Fountain in Edinburgh

While staying in Edinburgh I discovered that fountain along Royal Mile. I thought it were very attractive.

New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

Anyone knows New Orleans because of the Jazz music. I was happy to take this picture that tries to visualize the music during a short pause, when the band had put aside their instruments. By the way: This picture has not been manipulated.

Advertisement in Las Vegas

I saw this huge advertisement in the center of Las Vegas when I visited that city of all dreams (not mine...) for the first time. The picture was taken with an APS-C film camera. I rediscovered the picture after I had the films digitized.

Portrait in Bangladesh

Portrait of a boy, taken during my stay in a village of the Monipuri minority in Bangladesh. People in Bangladesh like it to be photographed, but to receive a smile is very rare.
